Thanks for setting this up, Doug. I'll do my best to keep on it and check back for updates because I like the idea... I'll do my best to hold up my end of the deal.
Sarah, pictures are such a great idea! And I'm going to copy you and post a quick bio breakdown:
I'm 22 and live in Seattle with 6 other housemates, most of which attend the University of Washington. I just graduated from the UW last spring in film with a focus in documentary. I love music, listening to kexp, and making short films... my younger sister looks older than me... and i like to bake pies on rainy days (a less frequent activity in Seattle than you might think).
Where is everyone from? What do you like to do? What's your proverbial "deal"? :)
Hope to hear about you soon! Excited to meet you as well!
Hi everyone, It's funny that this blog is forming itself in the comment section, but i don't mind following suit- I'm 23 years old and live on Long Island, about an hour east of New York City. I'm an artist/illustrator who is interested in telling stories, primarily in the form of comics or children's books- (and Carmella, I love making short films too!). If anyone is interested, they can look at my artwork at my website, www.dougolsen.com. I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design a year and a half ago and have been dealing with the whole 'what to do now thing' ever since. After a few unsuccessful and frankly half hearted attempts to move to New York, I decided i needed to change things up and purchased a one way ticket to Europe. My intention was to sublet a place with some like-minded friends in Berlin for awhile but then I was accepted to Spannocchia so it looks like that will be cut short. Maybe i'll go back there for the summer but right now I'm keeping things open ended. I've always had a fascination with ranch/farm life and look forward to being a part of this community. I studied abroad in Rome while in school so i have a moderate grasp of Italian and just plain love the whole country. Nice to hear from you all!
